Hullo Andrew. I got slapped down by Peter Brent when I queried the impact of the large "Other" vote on the 2PP, suggesting that more of the "Other" vote should return to Labor. I didn't know that all [Newspoll & and Nielsen] poll respondents are asked their second preference. Still, there is soemthing soft about poll results where respondents[roughly a quarter of them] cannot choose beteeen the two big party blocks. Moreover, the results on preferred PM have consistently shown a high uncommitted figure. There was an 8% uncommitted figure on voting intentions. There seems to be quite a number of voters that are uncommitted, one way or another. This seems contrary to what the media tell us about how diabolical things are for Labor. I enjoy your contributions to the Insiders program. cheers John Anderson
